Officials visited Sogen Kato, the oldest man in Tokyo, to celebrate his 111th birthday. When they arrived at his home, however, they found a mummified corpse wearing undergarments and nightclothes in his bed. It turned out that Kato had passed away 30 years prior, but his family had kept the information a secret in order to continue receiving his pension.
