Jerry Mathers, the actor who was famous for his role in “Leave it to Beaver,” decided to take a break from acting and enlisted in the military during his high school years. He was part of the California National Guard’s 146th Airlift Wing, which is nicknamed “The Hollywood Guard.” In 1967, he had the honor of presenting an Emmy award to Gene Kelly while wearing his dress uniform.
